KL-9002-100 - Holding cylinder

In combination with the various spring clamping pairs, the KL-9002-100 clamping cylinder allows for easy and safe installation and removal of springs on axles with MacPherson struts or control arms, space permitting. Spring clamping sets are available for diameters from 60 mm (inner diameter) to 205 mm (outer diameter). Maximum load: 27,500 N (with a prescribed safety factor of 4, the maximum load of the spring compressor is 27,500 N). Features: • Using the grid system, the minimum opening range (opening distance) can be adjusted to 40 mm and the maximum to 361 mm. This is important when tensioning very short springs (2-3 coils) and very long springs, allowing for complete relaxation or replacement. • The forged spring clamps are secured using a self-locking bayonet system (no tools, screws, or threaded rings required). • The coil drive remains closed when the safety pin is released. The tensioned spring can then be loosened with an auxiliary drive to proceed with the installation of a new safety pin. • Overloading of the spindle during the relaxation process upon reaching the maximum working stroke is prevented by an automatic disengagement. This is important to avoid damage to the spring compression device. • Thanks to a wide assortment of spring mounts, the spring tensioner is suitable for almost all MacPherson strut axles, shock absorber shafts, and, to some extent, control arm axles. Due to the interaction of high-precision components and the use of wear-resistant nitrided steel, the clamping cylinder operates very smoothly and with virtually no wear. For example, when tensioning a Mercedes M-Class spring with a locking force of approximately 18,000 N, only an actuating force of 35 Nm is required.
