Safety test procedure according to IEC 60900: • Visual inspection and verification of dimensions : individual inspection of the base tool labeling and insulation. • Hot and cold impact test : at room temperature (23°) and at low temperatures (-25°) in three different easily vulnerable locations. • Individual voltage test : Test of electrical insulation properties. Application of a voltage of 10 kV (effective value) in a water bath for 3 minutes and measurement of the leakage current. • Pressure test - dielectric breakdown test : storage of tools in a thermal testing cabinet (2 hours at 70°C). Application of a voltage of 5 KV (effective value) for 3 minutes and application of a force of 20 N to the insulation. • Insulation adhesion test : storage of tools in a thermal testing cabinet (168 h at 70°). Application of a force of 500 N for 3 min. between the conductive part and the insulation. • Flammability test : application of a flame for 10 s.
