Naval sealing in action: How we solved a critical problem on a cargo ship
Compartir
⚠️ A few weeks ago, we collaborated on a multipurpose cargo ship whose control room had a group of electrical cables over 60 meters long crossing a technical wall just one meter from the main switchboard. This wall had an A-60 rating, meaning it must withstand fire for at least 60 minutes to prevent it from spreading. The existing sealing system did not offer the protection required by regulations.
We opted to install GEAQUELLO® E 950, a system that allows the cable entry to be filled with a fire-resistant compound without having to dismantle the cables. The work lasted approximately 45 minutes and was carried out without interrupting the power supply, ensuring safety and operational continuity.
✅ Result: The client not only resolved the issue, but also strengthened their security for future audits and certifications.
We don't sell products: we solve critical navigation risks. And we do so with technical knowledge, field experience, and a network of top-tier manufacturers.
